We’ve just returned from our summer holiday. We really liked our trip to Italy last year so we went again, but this time we visited Milan, Bologna, Venice, Florence, Riccione and Verona (We stayed in Bologna and did day trips to Venice, Florence, Riccione and Verona). It was so much fun! We were lucky that the weather was fantastic, albeit very hot. We had a rainy day on our last day in Bologna but it was just for a couple of hours in the late afternoon. It was so hot and I really enjoyed watermelon granita this time and we had gelato wherever we wanted. We lost count of all the gelato we had during our stay! Our last trip went smoothly, but this time, we encountered some delayed trains but they weren’t very serious so we were lucky. My highlights were going on a gondola in Venice and looking at the birth of Venus at Uffizi galleries in Florence which I had always wanted to do since I was very young but hadn’t had an opportunity to do. The entire experience was surreal!
